General Terms
By registering for a public course held by Saat Network GmbH, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. These define the complete conditions governing your participation. Changes, additions or customers own terms and conditions are not valid unless confirmed in writing by Saat Network GmbH. The terms do not cover other products and services of Saat Network GmbH.
Registration
The number of participants is limited. Registrations are processed in the order received.
You agree to provide correct, complete, and up-to-date information necessary for processing and invoicing your registration. A valid email address is required to correspond with you. Your registration will be processed electronically on our own systems and/or on “cloud” services, which may or may not be located in Switzerland.
You agree that we may process your registration as described and that we may share this information with partners if necessary for processing your registration or holding the course. Other uses, including transmission to the Scrum Alliance for certification purposes or further communication with you after this course, require your explicit approval. Saat Network GmbH does not make customer data available to third parties for marketing purposes.
Course Fees and Discounts
Payment is due with your registration. The published price less any applicable discount at the time of your registration is the price you will be invoiced. Payment is due within 30 days or before the start of the course, whichever comes first. Prices are subject to change without notice. We accept Swiss Francs and Euros.
We may offer discounts on regular course fees. To qualify for the discount, you must claim the discount when you register. Published discounts are subject to change without notice. If you qualify for multiple discounts, the discount that applies is the one most beneficial to you. Discounts do not accumulate. If you qualify for a discount based on membership in an association, you give us permission to verify with the association that you are a member in good standing. To qualify for a discounted price, on time payment by the date stated in the invoice is required.
Participants who have not paid in advance may be required to pay at the door.
Cancellation/Substitution
Registration is binding. Attendee substitutions are permitted until 2 working days before the course starts. Registrants who fail to attend are subject to payment of the full registration fee if they have not obtained a cancellation approval from our Customer Service at least 10 working days prior to the event start date. If registrants wish to reschedule a registration within 10 working days before the start date of the class, they will be subject to a €100/CHF 125 course change fee.
For reservations with 3 or more participants in a single course, the date and number of participants is binding as soon as your reservation is confirmed.

Rescheduling and Guaranteed Dates
We endeavor to hold all courses as scheduled. Courses published on our website and marked as “guaranteed” will be not be cancelled due to lack of participants (even if there is only one participant!). We reserve the right to reschedule or cancel without notice courses that have no registrations. Extraordinary events may prevent holding a course as planned, in which case we will notify you as quickly as possible.
If the date is not guaranteed, we reserve the right to reschedule the event 10 days before the event if there are insufficient registrations — You will be notified in writing (E-Mail, Letter or SMS) if this occurs. You may change or cancel your registration with out fee if we have to reschedule.
Co-Training
As part of our commitment to advancing the diffusion of Scrum, Agile and related practices, we actively work with aspiring trainers from around the world. An aspirant may observe or lead part of your class under the leadership of the designated trainer. In any case, the published trainer remains responsible for the content and success of the course.
In Course Photography
As part of the course we will take pictures to document and promote the course on our Marketing channels such as our website. With participation you give your consent to use these pictures on those marketing channels.
Scope
Course duration, price, goals, content, audience, prerequisites and other details are defined in the course description. The course price includes handouts, materials and use of relevant IT systems.
Meals, Travel and Hotel are not included in the course fees.
Certificate of Participation
All participants who are present and actively participate for the entire course shall receive a certificate of participation.
If the course is a certification course (CSM, CSPO), then your data must be forwarded to the Scrum Alliance for certification. An additional test may be required.
Copyright
By registering for a course, you agree to observe the following conditions of use:
- Course Materials and Software used in the courses (e.g. Software & Operating Systems) are subject to Copyright restrictions and are made available for personal use during the course. Software may not be copied or taken home.
- Without written permission from Saat Network GmbH, course materials, text, photos etc. may not copied, scanned, reproduced, translated or processed electronically, nor may they be used for internal or external purposes.
- All materials are intellectual property of Peter Stevens and Saat Network GmbH
Electronic Correspondence
You agree to receive your invoice and other correspondence electronically. On request a paper copy of your invoice can be sent by traditional mail. A service fee of CHF 15.– will be apply.
Civil Liability
Civil Liability is excluded to limits permitted by Swiss Law.
If a course cannot be held due to an Act of God (e.g. Sickness or Accident involving the instructor), the liability of Saat Network GmbH for participant’s travel expenses is limited to a maximum of CHF 100.– (€ 85.–) per person.
In no case shall we be held liable for travel expenses or other third party fees arising as a result of cancellation or rescheduling or an event which was communicated in due time.
Changes to Contract
Saat Network GmbH reserves the right to modify the course program as well as these Terms and Conditions without notice. Your registration is governed by the conditions in effect at the time of your registration, which you will receive together with your confirmation. The current conditions are published on our website.
Miscellaneous
Saat Network may draw on assistance from third parties to meet its obligations under this agreement. Should any part of these Terms and Conditions be found to be incomplete or invalid, the parties agree to replace or complement the missing or invalid clauses with an appropriate solution that preserves the economic purpose of this agreement to the extent possible. The remaining conditions remain valid in any case.
If you join the Scrum Breakfast Club, then the current Terms and Conditions for the Scrum Breakfast Club apply.
Venue, Governing Law
This agreement is subject exclusively to Swiss Law. The venue for any disputes arising out of this agreement is CH-6300 Zug.

Q: What is the purpose of this agreement?
A: Many questions arise about your participation in our online courses. Online training is any course or workshop delivered primarily through the Internet that includes live broadcast content.
This agreement seeks to answer your questions, so you and we know what to expect from each other during and after your online course with us. “You” includes the participant, the entity or person who registers the participant and/or pays the participant’s invoice. “We” refers to Saat Network GmbH.
These terms, which you accepted when you registered for our online training, define the complete conditions governing your participation in our online training courses. Any other terms and conditions you might have, including your standard purchasing conditions, are only valid if agreed to in writing on physical paper by us.

Q: How do you register?
A: You register online on our website. You agree to provide correct, complete, and up-to-date information necessary for processing and invoicing your registration. A valid email address is required to correspond with you. Your registration will be processed electronically on our own systems and/or on “cloud” services, which may or may not be located in Switzerland.
Q: What happens to the data collected when you register?
A: You agree that we may process your registration as described and that we may share this information with partners if necessary for processing your registration or holding the course. Correspondence with you is by normal email. Other uses, including transmission to a certification body for certification purposes or further communication with you after the completion of course, require your explicit approval unless we are compelled to do so by law. Saat Network GmbH does not make customer data available to third parties for marketing purposes.
If you registered multiple participants, we need your final list of participants and their email addresses 4 business days before the training begins.
Q. When is payment due? What price is applicable?
A. Your payment is due with your registration. The published price less any applicable discount at the time of your registration is the price you will be invoiced. We can only grant you access to training materials after we have received your payment.
We may offer discounts on regular course fees. To qualify for the discount, you must claim the discount when you register and pay by the date stated in the invoice. Published discounts are subject to change without notice. If you qualify for multiple discounts, the discount that applies is the one most beneficial to you. Discounts do not accumulate. If you qualify for a discount based on membership in an association, you give us permission to verify with the association that you are a member in good standing.
Depending on the payment method you choose, a service charge may apply.
Q. How does the money back guarantee work?
A: If you are dissatisfied with the training for any reason, you may cancel your registration and get a full refund. The refund deadline is 15 days after the start date of your training. If you take a refund, you lose access to all services, materials and other rights and privileges granted to our course participants.
To qualify for a refund you must have participated in at least the first session. If you are part of a group registration, this guarantee applies to the whole group, not to individual participants. To request a refund, please contact us at https://saat-network.ch/contact/ before the refund deadline.
Q: What happens if you miss a session?
A: All sessions are recorded and made available to the course community a day later, so you can easily retake a missed lesson. There are no refunds for missing a session.
Q: Can you postpone, substitute someone else or cancel completely?
A: Our primary goal is happy customers; so if you have an issue, please contact us!
We generally offer our courses several times each year. Unless otherwise noted in your ticket, you can retake the course at any time, so postponing is always possible. Lessons are recorded, so it also possible to continue at your own pace.
The deadline for cancellations and substitutions is 4 business days before the training begins.
You can cancel your participation or substitute someone else for you any time before the cancellation deadline. There is no charge for substitutions.
If you cancel within 48 hours of registering, we will refund the full amount paid. If you cancel more than 48 hours after you registered and before the cancellation deadline, we will refund the amount paid, less a processing fee of CHF 125 or 3% of the invoiced amount, whichever is higher, to cover our transaction costs.
After the cancellation deadline, there are no refunds for not attending a workshop or a session.

Q: Can I book with confidence?
A: If our system is offering you a ticket, you can book with confidence that course will be held. You will receive a confirmation shortly after booking. We don’t cancel courses due to low participation.
We do reserve the right to reschedule or cancel without notice courses that have no registrations.
Extraordinary events may prevent holding an individual session as planned, in which case we will notify you as early as possible and arrange an alternative date.
Q: What is included in the training?
A: The course duration, price, goals, content, audience, prerequisites and other details are explained on course description on our website. The course price includes handouts, materials and use of relevant IT systems.
Unless explicitly stated, meals, travel and hotel are not included in the course fees.
Q: Can I get a certificate of participation?
A: It is hard for us to verify your actual effort in an online course. If you require a certificate of participation, please contact us before the start of the course.
Q: What is the copyright status of the session recordings?
A: We record the sessions for reuse in your course, for use in future courses, and for promotional purposes. Your name, voice or image may be recorded. You grant us permanent, non-revocable permission to make and reuse the recordings and grant us exclusive copyright on such materials.
Q: What is the copyright status of my contributions to the community forums?
A: Your posts belong to you. We manage our own community service to guarantee that your privacy is properly respected. We will not republish anything you post on the community server without your permission.

Q: What is the copyright status of material we make available to you?
Unless explicitly stated otherwise, all course materials that we provide are under copyright by Saat Network GmbH or someone else and are made available for your use only. The materials are made available to you for your personal use. Without written permission from Saat Network GmbH, course materials under copyright, including associated text, photos etc., may not be used for other purposes, internal or external.
Unless otherwise indicated, all materials are intellectual property of Peter Stevens, Saat Network GmbH
Q: Do we use third party services to deliver your course?
A: Yes we do. Currently we use external providers to deliver course materials to you, both for live and for prepared materials. You may need an account to access these services. We have no control over them make no warrantee related to their services.
Q: How do we correspond with you?
A. You agree to receive your invoice and other correspondence electronically. On request a paper copy of the invoice can be can be sent by traditional mail. A service fee may apply.
Q: What is our Civil Liability?
A: Like everyone else, we exclude Civil Liability to limits permitted by Swiss Law.

We see this agreement as the answers to questions relevant to our courses and our current situation. In general, your registration is governed by the version of this agreement that in effect at the time you registered.
If new questions come up, we reserve the right to answer those questions and those answers are binding. If the situation changes, we reserve the right to change these conditions without notice.

Q: What happens if this agreement is incomplete or invalid?
A: Should any part of these Terms and Conditions be found to be incomplete or invalid, you and we agree to replace or complement the missing or invalid clauses with an appropriate solution that preserves the economic purpose of this agreement to the extent possible. 1 Scope of application
The present general terms and conditions (hereinafter “GTC”) apply to all legal electronic & physical purchases made through the online shops www.saat-network.ch (hereinafter individually referred to as “online shop”). Registration for Participations in Online or Classroom training is not part of this GTC, but handled in different ones.
Saat Network reserves the right to change these GTC at any time. The version of the GTC valid at the time of order placement applies and may not be changed unilaterally for the respective order. Adverse or conflicting terms of the customer will not be recognised.
Products are available for as long while stocks last. Large orders exceeding a standard amount may be refused without reason.
2 Information
2.1 Product and price
Product images used for advertising, brochures, the online shop etc. are for illustration purposes only and are not binding.
All prices quoted are net, in Swiss Francs. VAT and Shipping costs are displayed separately by latest on checkout. The price displayed on the checkout screen is the final price.
2.2 Availability and delivery times
Saat Network is committed to providing up-to-date and precise information on availability in the online shop. However, production shortages in particular may cause delivery delays for Saat Network. Therefore, all information on availability and delivery times is subject to change.
3 Contract conclusion
Products and prices stated in the online shop are deemed to constitute offers. However, these offers are always subject to the inability to deliver or incorrect price quotations, both of which lead to contract cancellation.
A contract for products or services from Saat Network shall be deemed concluded with Saat Network as soon as an order has been placed by the customer in the online shop (hereinafter referred to as “contract”).
4 Delivery
Electronic Products shall be delivered right after purchase; a link is provided in the confirmation e-mail sent to the customer.
For physical products, Saat Network will send the product as soon as possible after the conclusion of the contract based on the delivery option chosen by the customer.
5 Customer obligation to inspect physical products
Customers are obliged to immediately inspect the delivered or collected products for correctness, completeness and potential transport damage.
The customer shall inform Saat Network of any defects, or false or incomplete deliveries, immediately after detection thereof and within five calendar days after receipt of the delivery at the latest by e-mail.
6 Liability and exclusion of liability
Liability is based on the applicable legal provisions. However, in no event shall Saat Networkbe liable for (i) slight negligence, (ii) indirect and consequential damage and subsequent damage and loss of profit, (iii) unrealised savings, or (iv) damage resulting from delivery delay, or (v) any acts and omissions on the part of auxiliary persons of Saat Network, be this contractual or non-contractual. Moreover, Saat Network will not accept any liability in the following cases:
storage, setting or use of products that is improper, unlawful or contrary to contract;
force majeure, particularly natural hazards, moisture, shock and impact etc. that are not caused by Saat Network.
7 Payment
7.1 Payment methods
Saat Network claims all payments for products and services purchased on the Saat Network online shops directly from the customer.
Payment must be made in Swiss Francs.
Payment methods available to customers for the online shop are listed under “Payment methods”.
The current fees can also be viewed under “Payment methods” and are given in detail in the ordering process.
When paying by credit card or other instant payment methods, the amount is debited at the time of order.
7.2 Reservation of ownership
All ordered products remain the property of Saat Network or the merchant until payment is received in full. Saat Network is entitled to make an entry in the register for reservation of ownership. Without the express consent of Saat Network, no pledging, transferring of security, processing or modification is permitted prior to transfer of ownership.
8 Order change or cancellation
Order placement obliges the customer to accept the products and services. Saat Network may accept subsequent order changes or cancellations by the customer. Additional costs for the customer might occur.
In the event of (partial) inability to deliver (condition leading to termination) after order placement or contract conclusion pursuant to point 3, the customer is immediately informed by e-mail. If the customer has already made the payment, the amount is refunded. If no payment has been made, the customer is exempted from the obligation to pay the amount due. Further claims for delivery delay or delivery failure are excluded.
9 Returning non-defective physical products
Saat Network grants the right to return ordered products within a maximum of 30 calendar days from their dispatch as long as the product is still originally packaged.
Customers must email Saat Network to register the return of a product. The products, together with all accessories, must be properly packed and returned in their original packaging. Damaged products cannot be returned or will be fully invoiced to the customer, respectively.
Should customers exercise their right of return according to the above-mentioned return conditions, Saat Network shall refund the total purchase price with the exception of any minimum order surcharge paid.
10 Further provisions
10.1 Non-allocatable returns
Returns that cannot be allocated or returned to a customer are retained for six months by Saat Network or the merchant before being disposed of.
10.2 Data privacy protection
The privacy policy is an integral part of these GTC. By accepting these GTC, customers also agree to the privacy statement.
10.3 Partial invalidity
Should individual terms of these GTC be invalid or void, the validity of the other provisions of these GTC are not affected by this.
10.4 Place of jurisdiction and applicable law
All legal relations between Saat Network and customers as well as between merchants and customers are subject to substantive Swiss law. Place of jurisdiction is Zurich, Switzerland.
10.5 Copyright notice
All rights to these GTC, particularly copyrights, are reserved by Saat Network.
All reproduction, distribution or other use is prohibited except with written permission from Saat Network. In the event of breach of this requirement, Saat Network reserves the right to take legal action.
