This workshop is for organizations that are applying Lean and Agile frameworks who want to get the performance, productive and financial results they expect and demand from their investment in agility.
In this workshop, you will pursue two goals:
- Achieving Great Execution. Learn to do better Scrum or Kanban to deliver value reliably and predictably so you can delight your customers. Based on what you know and do now, what’s good? What’s bad? And what is downright ugly? Most importantly, how can you change to execute better?
- Creating a clear vision for improving your organization. Create a compelling, clear message that is shared by you and your leadership team that you can take to management, development staff, stakeholders and customer. You can explain where you want to go and why, so your stakeholders want to go there too!
News! The October workshop will address Scaling Scrum: DAD (Disciplined Agile Delivery from IBM/Scott Amber), SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework from Dean Leffingwell) and LeSS (Large Scale Scrum, from Craig Larman and Bas Vodde).
This is a workshop, not a course, and not a powerpoint binge! Much of the content will be driven by the participants. Here’s the plan (which may change depending on the decisions you take in the workshop): You will examine how you do Scrum in your organization. You will reflect on how Scrum has failed you, and how you have failed to be Agile. You will review topics you want to cover in more depth.
You will examine advanced topics, like Scaling Scrum or Radical Management. You will share experiences with other participants and learn how other organizations have solved your problems. You will identify short term improvement potential for your organization, to start applying on Monday morning. Finally, you will create a vision for taking your team or organization forward, so that your whole organization will benefit from being agile!
Scrum is a simple team-based framework for solving complex problems (like software development). This does not mean it is easy to do. Every project has its story and it’s compromises. Some are healthy, some are not. This course will help you identify issues and develop pragmatic solutions so your team can better achieve that “hyper-productivity” you have been hoping for.

About Peter Stevens, CST
As an experienced Scrum coach, Certified Scrum Trainer and mentor with a passion for helping organizations transform themselves to thrive in the 21st century, Peter Stevens have been training Scrum Masters, Scrum Developers and Scrum Product Owners in Switzerland and abroad since 2008. His coaching focus is on transforming organizations. “I teach teams, their leaders, their management and their stakeholders to do Scrum well, to understand Scrum deeply, and to live Scrum values.”
Peter is an engaged leader of the Agile community in Switzerland and worldwide. Most recently, he initiated the Stoos Gathering, an interdisciplinary summit to catalyze a lasting change in business management along Agile principles.
This Workshop is intended for Scrum Masters, Scrum Product Owners, Scrum Developers and Line Managers in a Scrum context who want their teams to achieve the next level of performance. You may of course register alone, but optimally, at least three people from your project should attend: the Product Owner, the Scrum Master, and one or more Development Team members. If your Line Manager comes too, your ability to implement you proposed changes may be even better!
To participate, you should be a Certified Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner or have had equivalent training. Exceptions are possible if you are coming as part of a team. All participants are expected to read a 10 page excerpt of “Do Better Scrum” by Peter Hundermark.
